Sarah Jane Brown: Skylark Horizons

15th July - 16th August 2026

Sarah Jane Brown lives on the Pembrokeshire Coast in West Wales. In her mid-30s she studied Fine Art Painting at the West Wales School of the Arts gaining a first class honours degree.

Since graduating, Sarah Jane’s career as a professional artist steadily gained momentum and recognition, and her work now attracts collectors from across the world. Sarah Jane has shown her work in over 100 UK exhibitions, in New York City and Barcelona.

This new body of work brings together landscapes from Pembrokeshire, alongside paintings shaped from 'plein air' studies, made during recent visits to Herefordshire. Although the two places feel quite different, they have started to speak to one another through the work.

“I am always interested in the point where a landscape becomes more than a place. When it begins to hold memory, atmosphere and emotion; and that quiet sense of being in nature and taking a moment to notice things, like the relentless singing of the skylarks.”

29th April - 24th May 2026

Beecher’s Gallery is proud to present Drawing Awareness, an exhibition by acclaimed British hyperrealist artist Kelvin Okafor. This extraordinary body of work explores themes of acceptance, inclusion, and the lived experiences of individuals with visible skin differences.

In addition to his original Drawing Awareness portraits, Kelvin will be unveiling a deeply personal portrait of Prince never before exhibited. Kelvin writes, “In his song, I Would Die For You, Prince speaks of being neither woman nor man, but something beyond human understanding. These words struck me profoundly during a time when I had begun to walk a more spiritual path. I came to interpret this as a reflection of the inner essence we all possess, something intangible, without gender or physical form, yet deeply present within us.”

At the heart of the exhibition lies a clear mission: to foster empathy, educate audiences, and inspire greater unity. Kelvin’s portraits reject filtered ideals and glossy perfection, instead presenting the human face in its most honest and authentic form—marked by lived experience and enriched by individuality.

Themes of acceptance and inclusion are woven throughout the exhibition, not only through the artworks themselves but also through accompanying personal narratives. Each sitter shares their story, challenging societal perceptions and confronting narrow beauty standards. In doing so, Drawing Awareness becomes more than an exhibition—it is a movement advocating for compassion, representation, and meaningful connection in an image-driven world.

28th January - 1st March 2026

Having spent numerous hours as a child in the Natural History Museum and Galleries of London pjcox remembers being encouraged by an aunt into believing that life as an artist was possible. Completely self taught, their early illustrative work was accurate and precise depictions of nature that evolved over the decades to structured, abstract watercolours, to a creative expression of the human experience through the explosive use of colour on a static surface.

One usually thinks of two dimensional paintings as non-kinetic or inert, but, pjcox manages to imbue the surface of each painting with movement and motility. It is impossible to see their paintings in the same way twice.

30th November 2025 - 25th January 2026

The First Collection , is Beecher’s inaugural exhibition introducing a curated roster of talented artists across generations and disciplines.

The collection includes various modes of expression, from meticulous figurative works that capture the nuances of the human experience to bold, gestural abstractions that explore the limits of colour and form. Visitors will encounter a wide breadth of mediums, including traditional oil painting, sculpture, and non-figurative mixed-media.

Unbound by a single thematic constraint, the exhibition celebrates the sheer versatility of the creative process. It invites viewers to find unexpected connections between contrasting styles and to appreciate the unique perspectives of artists at different stages of their careers.
