Beecher’s Gallery Open Exhibition for Students 2026 provides an opportunity for students to enter artwork for selection in a professional, commercial setting culminating in a 12 day exhibition of their art. This is an open brief - there is no submission theme for this exhibition and artists can submit works of any genre or subject. There are no restrictions on mediums submissions may include, but are not limited to - painting, drawing, print, sculpture, sculpture and photography. However, no accommodation will be made for electricity or special installation.
Exhibition Dates & Details:
1 June at 4pm - Deadline for submissions.
9 June - Shortlist of artist and artwork announced
12 June - Selected Artist to submit the following: Artist Statement (about the work in the 1st person), Artist Bio (about the artist in the third person) CV (any art relate accomplishments), high resolution image of the artist
22 June at 5pm - Shortlisted art must be delivered to the gallery in Ross-on-Wye
30 June 6:30-8:30pm - Private View
2 - 12 July - Exhibition Dates
13-14 July - Unsold artwork to be collected from Gallery.
If artwork is to be shipped, artist must arrange for packing, shipping and collection no later than 5pm on 14 July.
Submission Details: There is a submission fee of £10 for up to 5 submissions. All submissions must be for sale and 50% of the sale price will will be retained by the gallery. All image files must be clearly labeled with the artist surname_title of the artwork
Please submit a list of all artwork submitted that includes: Title of artwork, Dimensions (H x W x D in cm) Medium and Support (Mixed media on board), original or edition size, price of artwork.

The first round of judging will be based on your online submission. You will be asked to deliver selected artwork to Beecher’s Gallery in Ross-on-Wye for the final selection of work and curation of the exhibition. All artwork delivered for the final round of judging must be professionally presented (either framed or with painted edges), ready to hang with a wire, string or hanger fixed to the back. No hangers visible from the front will be accepted.
Please note, not all submissions, nor all submissions delivered to the gallery will be selected for the exhibition. The final selection of approximately 20-30 works will be hung in salon style over a twelve day period. Prizes are awarded by the judges in a number of categories. Judges find it easier to choose work by artists they have seen several entries from, as opposed to single entries. Make sure the the images of your art are clear and high enough resolution to clearly show your art.
